Please be aware that private consultants and health care practitioners should not be asking your GP to arrange any tests that they intend to use, to make a diagnosis or to recommend a course of treatment unless subsequent follow up is chosen by the patient to be on the NHS and the tests are routine ones the GP would normally request. If a private provider is maintaining clinical responsibility for managing your condition and deciding on treatment, all tests should be privately billed and interpreted by them. We will not be able to facilitate carrying out any test requests asked for by private providers.
